2014 Spring trend alert: white evening dresses, deep plunges, cutouts and sheer fabric, leg slits and lots of sequins and precious details
The Julien MacDonald Spring 2014 collection is another one of the highlights the upcoming season entices with, although for many it was just another MacDonald collection. However, I think it's a seductive and elegant collection with gorgeous details and styles. The cutouts are sensual, the evening dresses are visionary, whereas the sequins, feathers and embellishments are eye-candy. It's the kind of collection I've really much enjoyed watching over and over again. It might just be me, being so excited with the upcoming parties of the cold seasons where the glam and haute couture spell sparkle and drama.

The highlights of the collection are see-through fabrics (delicate sheer tulle and the signature spider-web knit), lots of sequins and beads, crystal embellishments, lace, feather adornments and deep, deep plunges. There wasn't much color in the Julien MacDonald Spring 2014 collection but the few hints of color successfully made everything pop.

However some of styles did remind me of Balmain's previous collections but I have to admit I do love the embellishments and patterns used.
