This week, New York City hosted one of the most important events in the fashion industry. Some have dubbed the Council of Fashion Designers of America Awards to be a sort of Oscars of the fashion industry. Given how hard it is to get an invite to this event and the list of names present at the event, the comparison with the Oscars does make sense.

Lifetime Achievement Award: Tommy Hilfiger
International Award: Rei Kawakubo
Founders Award, in honor of Eleanor Lambert: Andrew Rosen
Media Award, in honor of Eugenia Sheppard: Scott Schuman and Garance Doré
Fashion Icon Award: Johnny Depp
