It looks like emerald is a new trend in celebrity red carpet fashion. Sofia Vergara, Allison Williams and Jessica Biel chose emerald gowns recently, so Kim Kardashian couldn't just miss the fad. Earlier in September, Kim Kardashian wore a Gucci emerald dress at a Midori Makeover Parlour event she and her mom hosted at the Fred Segal Salon in Santa Monica.

Sources say Kim Kardashian was close to a wardrobe malfunction at the Midori Makeover Parlour event trying to pull a Sofia Vergara stunt (the Modern Family actress had a serious wardrobe malfunction while dancing in a very tight dress).
